RSRD is proud to take part in the 25th annual Take Back the Night candelight march in honor of victims of sexual and domestic abuse. Please join us at the LSU memorial tower on Sunday Oct.23rd at 6 pm. All are welcome to join.

RSRD is at “Ink for the Pink” today at State of Grace Art Gallery and Tattoos in Hammond! Go visit and help raise money for breast cancer research!

It’s a team competition. A rope is attached to a 727 FedEx jet airplane. Teams of 20 competete to see which can pull the plane a distance of 12 feet the fastest or the slowest. The Plane Pull Competition and Festival is the largest fundraiser for The Arc Baton Rouge and is a day full of activities and excitement for the entire family. The event is free and open to the public. 100% of all proceeds from the Plane Pull go to benefit the programs of The Arc Baton Rouge.

From 5-7 pm, Red Stick Roller Derby will be at the United Way Jambalaya Jam! We’ll be on skates handing out flyers with our 2012 home bout schedule! Everyone should come out to eat jambalaya and hang out with their favorite roller girls for a good cause!

This Saturday some of us will be supporting Habitat for Humanity of Greater BR by helping build a house!
